The day started great, I was up early, the sun was shining and it was cool. Then it all came crashing down, almost literally. About 75 km into my ride a hit run with a small car and a school bus happened right beside me and I had to stay as a witness. The people were not hurt but the bus didn't stop or even slow down. The RCMP arrived quickly and got my statement right away so that I could be on my way. Then the rain started and I was cold and wet and had no where to sleep. I talked to campgrounds, locals and motels all over Brandon but it was all too much. So I left town and found a sketchy provinical park called Grand Valley and setup in the puring rain.
